Every employee in an organization faces ethical dilemma at some or the other point while carrying out their duties (Dion 2012). Ethical conduct involves following certain practices, which the organization implements and also follow certain moral principles that people learn from teachings and experiences (Arnold et al. 2010). The report discusses one of the ethical dilemmas, which I faced and it also discusses the ethical lessons I learnt from the situation.


Dilemma Description and Ethical Question raised

In one of my previous workplace I worked under a supervisor who used to take the whole credit for the good performance of the members. We found it right as it was team efforts, but there were some situations when there were some mistakes done by my colleagues and the supervisor did not take the ownership of the same. Instead he highlighted the mistake of the member, which I believe was not ethically right. The members including me felt that this was very demotivating and were not happy about this behaviour of the supervisor. Ethical dilemma, which I faced in this situation was that I felt it was not ethically correct to take credit only of good work but I also felt it might not be right to complaint against my own supervisor……………..
